Another award season is gearing up, and with it brings endless debate about all the films we’ve spent the last 12 months watching. The Independent Spirit Awards kicked things off this morning with its list of nominees. I’m already feeling like I haven’t seen enough films this year, as there’s a bunch on this list I’m dying to see but just haven’t gotten around to yet. I’m glad to see that Scott Frank recieved a nomination for The Lookout, a film that didn’t seem to get any attention when it was released back in April, it’s also nice to see Steve Zahn nominated for Rescue Dawn. The show airs on IFC February 23, 2008 and you can check out the site to view the press conference where the nominees were announced.
