Digital Spy recently caught up with Steve Guttenberg who says a second sequel to the 1987 comedy Three Men and a Baby is on the horizon. It will reportedly reunite the Gutte with Ted Danson and Tom Selleck.

The first flick, which was directed by Leonard Nimoy, centered around three bachelor friends sharing an apartment in Manhattan who find a baby left at their door. They decide to look after the baby, Mary, and realize how difficult it can be. It was based on the French film Trois Hommes et un Couffin.

The first follow up, Three Men and a Little Lady, was released in 1990. In it, Mary has been reunited with her mother, Sylvia, who is off to marry her fiancé in London and is taking Mary with her. The three bachelors travel to England to stop the wedding, because her fiancé doesn’t like children and is planning on sending Mary to boarding school.

The proposed new movie, Three Men and a Bride, takes place 18 years after Lady and centers around the wedding of Mary. Guttenberg says “The script is pretty much written and we are really keen to get that made. We’re very hopeful”.

You may remember the first flick carries a very popular urban legend. In one of the scenes you can see in the background what appears to be a little boy standing in a doorway. There is a rumor that this is the ghost of a boy who died in the apartment where the film was shot. This turned out to be false and is actually a cardboard cut-out of one of the characters.
