Yet even more release date changes for the month of November, as FOX will now release Baz Luhrmann’s Australia on the 26th. The film was originally scheduled to open on November 13.

Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman star in the film which is set against the backdrop of World War II, and sees an English woman (Kidman) travel to remote Australia and fall for a rugged cattle drover ( Jackman).

FOX says that the release change will buy Luhrmann a little more time to finish the film. Filming took place in locations around Australia during 2007, and Luhrmann is currently shooting pick-ups with Kidman and Jackman.

Other notable changes in the November release calendar have been Quantum of Solace, which will now open a week later, Twilight, which was pushed up from December, and of course Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which won’t hit the screen until next July.
