Brosnan and Cage Set for The Ghost

MTV has learned that Pierce Brosnan and Nicolas Cage have been cast in Roman Polanski’s upcoming adaptation of the Robert Harris novel The Ghost.
Inspired in part by Tony Blair, t.he novel focuses on a ghostwriter who learns privileged details about a scandal which threatens to engulf a former British Prime Minister. Soon, he finds himself in personal jeopardy, and must learn to balance his commitments to Lang with his own safety. Most of the story takes place in an oceanfront house in the middle of winter.
Brosnan will play British Prime Minister Adam Lang while Cage will portray the ghostwriter. Production is expected to begin this fall in Europe.
Cage can be seen next in the action flick Bangkok Dangerous and will shoot Werner Herzog’s Bad Lieutenant later this summer. Brosnan is currently prepping a sequel to The Thomas Crown Affair and will pop up in theaters this July in Mama Mia!
