Christian and Cuba Return to Action

Christian Slater and Cuba Gooding Jr. are returning to their action roots. The actors have signed on to star in the new action comedy Lies & Illusions, reports Variety.

Lies is directed by Tibor Takacs (Mega Snake) from a script by Eric James. The story centers on a novelist being hunted by a spy who believes the writer holds millions of dollars in diamonds stolen by his dead fiancée. The film also stars Sarah Ann Schultz, Christa Campbell, Al Madrigal and Lochlyn Munro.

Shooting on the film begins this week in Washington with Richard Salvatore, Johnny Martin and David Ornston producing. Salvatore recently produced My Mom’s New Boyfriend, starring Meg Ryan and Antonio Banderas, and Hero Wanted, starring Gooding Jr.
