Death Race Finally Has a Trailer

The first trailer for Paul W.S. Anderson’s remake of the Roger Corman cult classic Death Race is finally online, and believe it or not it actually looks like fun, granted completely ridiculous fun. The movie stars Jason Statham as a prison inmate who must compete in a Death Race to earn his freedom.
The flick also stars Ian McShane, Tyrese Gibson, and Joan Allen. It opens on August 22, 2008. Check out the trailer below.
Well, clearly lacks the political undertones of the original . . . and also the pedestrian homicide. More akin to Car Wars than Death Race 2000. But still may be fun to watch.

That is not a remake at all. That is some movie called Death Race, how can it even be called a remake. Its frankly insulting to even call it one, when there is not one single thing about it even remotly close to the original film
