Downey Jr. and Fey Join Master Mind

Entertainment Weekly has learned that Robert Downey Jr. and Tina Fey are in negotiations to join DreamWorks’ upcoming animated movie Master Mind, which pokes fun at the superhero genre.

Alan Schoolcraft and Brent Simons wrote the movie, which centers on a villain who, after accidentally killing his archrival, loses his will to live. Ben Stiller is producing through his production company Red Hour Films.

IMDB lists Gary Trousdale (Beauty and the Beast, The Hunchback of Notre Dame) as the director, but the EW article says that DreamWorks Animation veterans Cameron Hood and Kyle Jefferson are helming the flick.

Master Mind, which is currently a working title, is scheduled to arrive in theaters November 5, 2010.
