Eddie Murphy Talks Beverly Hills Cop 4
Both Eddie Murphy and Beverly Hills Cop 4 have been in the news the past couple days, with the comedian revealing to Extra that he’s considering retirement, and then director Brett Ratner clarifying that the fourth flick will indeed be rated R. Now, Eddie Murphy reveals to MTV that he’s not doing part four just for the money.
“All I know is that it’s gonna be something that’s special. I’m not doing just, hey give me some big check and I go off [does the Foley laugh] and shoot the gun and jump over cars,” Murphy told MTV News. “Like, that’s some bullshit. If I do it, it’s gonna be some shit that’s right!”
“I’ve been in a bunch of different meetings with people, ‘Oh, we have to take Axel this way.” I ain’t seen no script yet [but] I’m not rolling out ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4’ for it to be a continuation of ‘Beverly Hills Cop III,’ which was a crock of shit,” Murphy said. “I wanna do a good one!”
What do you guys think, does an R rating and Murphy’s passion get you more or less excited for a fourth Beverly Hills Cop?
Murphy was the edgiest comedian,like Pryor then he went all nutty prof and dadddy day care, now it seems he’s paving the way to that past character by talking so brashly, i for one am ready for a BHC 4, and that laugh along with donkeys laugh is the funniest most recognisable…who else has a funny laugh?
