First Images from Public Enemies

The folks over at Empire have debuted the first official images from the Johnny Depp and Christian Bale film, Public Enemies. Directed by Michael Mann, the crime drama also stars David Wenham, Stephen Graham, Marion Cotillard, Channing Tatum, Giovanni Ribisi, Stephen Dorff, Billy Crudup, Shawn Hatosy, Emilie de Ravin, James Russo and Leelee Sobieski.

The film follows the legendary John Dillinger (Depp), the charismatic Depression-era bank robber whose lightning raids made him the number one target of J. Edgar Hoover’s fledgling FBI and its top agent, Melvin Purvis (Bale). It’s based on Brian Burrough’s non-fiction book, “Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43”.
