First Look at DiCaprio in Ashecliffe

A couple of set photos from Martin Scorsese’s Ashecliffe have popped up over at The Boston Herald. The images give us our first look at Leonardo DiCaprio in the film, an adaptation of Dennis Lehane’s novel Shutter Island. The drama is set in 1954, with U.S. Marshal Teddy Daniels (DiCaprio) investigating the disappearance of a murderer who escaped from a hospital for the criminally insane - his chase leads him to the remote Shutter Island.

Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley, Emily Mortimer, Michelle Williams, Jackie Earle Haley, and Max von Sydow also star. It’s scheduled to arrive in theaters October 2009.
