First Look: Jim Carrey as Ebenezer Scrooge

From filmz.ru comes the first image of Jim Carrey in Robert Zemeckis’ A Christmas Carol. Zemeckis is shooting the film using performance capture/Disney digital 3-D animation, the same techniques he introduced in Polar Express and used again with Beowulf. Carrey is playing Ebenezer Scrooge plus the three ghosts that haunt him in the adaptation of the Charles Dickens story.

Gary Oldman, Colin Firth, Cary Elwes, Bob Hoskins, Daryl Sabara and Robin Wright Penn also star in the film, which is due in theaters November 6, 2009. Market Saw also has a low-quality version of the first poster here.
