First Look: Land of the Lost

The first official still from the upcoming big-screen version of the television series Land of the Lost has made its way online. The image comes from USA Today and features a look at the Sleestacks, which are “villainous lizard creatures”. The movie, which is still filming, stars Will Ferrell, Anna Friel and Danny McBride who get transported to a strange world ruled by dinosaurs, monkey-men called Pakuni and the murderous Sleestak.
Land of the Lost is directed by Brad Silberling (Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events) and opens on July 17, 2009.

They get the sleestaks spot on but they change the Marshalls! I suppose if this is more a continuation and they’re playing new characters it would work. As long as Will Ferrell doesn’t try to be funny.
