Forest Whitaker Producing New HBO Drama

HBO has greenlit the pilot Fat Sells with Forrest Whitaker on board as an executive producer, with the potential to also direct, reports Variety.

The show, created by Dave Broome and Gren Wells, is set in the world of the $46 billion herbal weight loss industry. It will center on the head of a weight loss behemoth (and his family) and how his life starts to unravel when the FDA begins investigating the company’s claims.

Broome knows a thing or two about the world of weight loss, having served as an executive producer on The Biggest Loser.

No casting decisions have been made yet, but Wells will write the pilot and also serve as an executive producer.
