Lindsay Lohan’s career is pretty much over right? That’s a given isn’t it? I just feel sorry for the people that worked on this movie. There names are tarnished forever. Needless to say I Know Who Killed Me is the worst movie I’ve seen all year.
Aubrey Fleming (Lindsay Lohan) is a young high school student who is living the typical teenage life. One night Aubrey disappears, and two weeks later she is found on the side of a road with severe injuries. She has been the victim of a serial killer who likes to cut the limbs off of his victims and leave them for dead. Aubrey isn’t claiming to be Aubrey; she says her name is Dakota Moss, a stripper (who doesn’t take off any clothes) and the daughter of a crack head.
That’s pretty much the meat of it. I don’t really have the energy to go into the plot details any further. I’ll just get to some of the huge problems this movie had.
The movie suffers from huge gaps in the story where nothing is happening, or where the same things are happening over and over. Nothing ever gets accomplished. You have scenes where the police are questioning Aubrey/Dakota about the same things they already discussed, or where Aubrey’s parents are talking to Dakota about the same things. Asking “why are you being this way Aubrey? You’re not Dakota you are Aubrey”. It’s so boring. The movie doesn’t seem like it knows what it wants to be. This is screenwriter Jeff Hammond’s first movie and I hope to god this guy lined up some more work before this was finished, otherwise this may also be his last movie.
The acting is also horrendous. I can’t remember the last time I was sitting in a theater watching a movie that was so bad it actually became good. Usually movies like that are discovered in bargain bins. There are scenes that are funnier than scenes in I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.
Overall, I Know Who Killed Me has some of the worst direction, writing and acting to hit the screen in a long time. Add one of the lamest endings and you have the worst movie of the year. It’s to be noted that the filmmakers did do an amazing job at convincing the studio to release this piece of garbage. Stay away, stay far away from this.
