Jessica Alba Signs on to Invisible

Jessica Alba has signed on to star in An Invisible Sign of My Own, a modern day fable based on the novel by Aimee Bender, reports Variety. Marilyn Agrelo (Mad Hot Ballroom) is attached to direct.

The film revolves around a young woman who has retreated from the world and is consumed by numbers and math. Things begin to change when she becomes a second-grade math teacher.

America Ferrera (Ugly Betty) had previously been attached to star. The script comes from Pamela Falk and Mike Ellis. The two last penned the Jennifer Lopez romantic comedy The Wedding Planner.

Shooting is scheduled to begin in October.
