Jon Favreau Signs for Iron Man 2!

It definitely took a little longer than expected, especially after Iron Man became one of the biggest hits of the summer, but it looks like Marvel has finally signed Jon Favreau to direct the anticipated sequel.
Nikke Finke over at Deadline Hollywood breaks the good news:
It’s not officially announced yet, but I’m told that Marvel Studios and Iron Man director Jon Favreau have reached a deal for him to helm the sequel, due out in 2010. (Robert Downey Jr had a sequel clause in his contract so he’s on board.)
It’s good to have Favreau back, but it still seems like that April 2010 release date is a bit sketchy – it’s less than two years away! What do you think – should Marvel give Favs and his team a little more time to cook up a sequel?

Soooooo glad Favreau is back!
For sure they should give them more time on the sequel. I’m not sure why Marvel needs to rush it. Let’s make it the best it can be!
