Keira Knightley Joins Last Night

Keira Knightley is attached to star in Last Night, the directorial debut of writer Massy Tadjedin. Eva Mendes, Sam Worthington and Guillaume Canet have also joined the film, reports Variety.

Last Night follows a married couple, apart for a night while the husband takes a business trip with a colleague to whom he’s attracted. While he’s resisting temptation, his wife encounters her past love.

Tadjedin previously scripted the sci-fi thriller The Jacket and also wrote the upcoming Wednesday, which Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) is attached to direct. She is also reportedly writing an untitled project for Steven Spielberg.

Gaumont and Nick Wechsler Productions are teaming on the project, which begins production in New York next month. Gaumont is financing the film, will handle worldwide sales and will distribute in France. Wechsler produces.
