  • The problematic production of Where the Wild Things Are finally has a release date. The Spike Jonze directed film, which underwent reshoots earlier this year, now arrives on October 16, 2009. >> More
  • The first trailer for Soul Men is now online. The film stars Samuel L. Jackson and the late Bernie Mac as two estranged singing legends who agree to participate in a reunion performance. >> More
  • Reports coming in from the Toronto International Film Festival are saying that Steven Soderbergh’s epic film Che has found a distributor. Word is Mark Cuban’s Magnolia Pictures has signed to distribute. >> More
  • A new international trailer for Yes Man is now online. In the flick Jim Carrey plays a man who challenges himself to say “yes” to everything for an entire year. It opens December 19. >> More
  • Is Tom Cruise voicing a villain in Shrek Goes Fourth? That’s what the folks over at Cinema Blend are saying. Apparently the latest Shrek sequel will reveal the Ogre’s origins and how he ended up in the swamp. >> More
  • Michael Caine and Emily Mortimer have signed on to star in Harry Brown, a British vigilante thriller from MARV Films. Lionsgate U.K. has just acquired the U.K. distribution rights on the film, which British director Daniel Barber is helming. >> More
  • Joblo has the first poster for Marley and Me. The Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston film is based on John Grogan’s best selling memoir. >> More
  • Paul Allen’s Vulcan Prods. has inked a deal with Elegy scribe Nicholas Meyer to pen a screenplay about the life of George Washington. Allen said his goal with the project is to present a historically accurate account of America’s early years and the country’s first president. >>More
