New Details for Saw V and VI

I think it’s safe to say a franchise is getting a bit out of control when you’re able to lump news together for two films. That’s the case with the Saw franchise as we have news on parts 5 and 6.

First up, Coming Soon has the official plot details for Saw V, along with the full cast.

The studio says that in the fifth installment, Hoffman (Costas Mandylor) is seemingly the last person alive to carry on the Jigsaw (Tobin Bell) legacy. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman must go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends.

The full cast also includes Scott Patterson, Betsy Russell, Mark Rolston, Carlo Rota, Julie Benz, Greg Bryk, Laura Gordon and Meagan Good. David Hackl is directing the horror-thriller from a script by Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan.

Also, it was announced that Saw V director David Hackl will not be helming the sixth installment, but rather longtime editor of the series, Kevin Greutert, will be making his directorial debut with Saw VI. Greutert also recently edited The Strangers.
