New Trailer for Meirelles’ Blindness

A second trailer for Blindness is now online. In the Fernando Meirelles (City of God) directed film, which opens September 19, a city is ravaged by an epidemic of instant “white blindness”. Those first afflicted are quarantined by the authorities in an abandoned mental hospital where the newly created “society of the blind” quickly breaks down.
It’s based on the José Saramago novel and stars Julianne Moore, Mark Ruffalo, Danny Glover, Alice Braga and Gael García Bernal.
I don’t think he will ever top City of God - but this looks to be another interesting concept of society in pressure conditions; under a miscroscope.
