New Where the Wild Things Are Images
Moriarty over at Ain’t it Cool just posted an extensive interview with director Spike Jonze about his upcoming film, Where the Wild Things Are. It’s a long but good read, as they discuss all the troubles the flick has faced from the studio, among other things. The site was also provided with two new images from the film, which will be in theaters next fall.
Where the Wild Things Are is based on the Maurice Sendak book of the same name. It follows the adventures of Max, a head-strong young boy who leaves home after having a fight with his mother — only to find himself in a mysterious forest bordering a vast sea. Misunderstood and rebellious, Max sets sail to the land of the Wild Things, where mischief reigns.
It stars Max Records, Forest Whitaker, Alice Parkinson, Catherine O’Hara, James Gandolfini, Lauren Ambrose, Paul Dano and Catherine Keener. Check out the pics below and head on over to AICN for high quality versions and to read the full interview.
