Peter Farrelly Developing Short Film Anthology

Overture Films and A Bigger Boat joining forces, developing an untitled feature consisting of two dozen short comedy films. The project will be produced by the Peter Farrelly and Charles Wessler and is said to be in the vein of The Groove Tube and Kentucky Fried Movie.

Directors already in talks include Brett Ratner, Todd Phillips, Mike Judge, Josh Gordon and Will Speck (Blades of Glory). Farrelly will also direct two of the shorts. Pre-production is under way and shooting is scheduled to begin in January.

Farrelly and Wessler have collaborated previously on There’s Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber, Shallow Hal, Stuck on You and The Heartbreak Kid.

Farrelly, along with his brother Bobby, is attached to direct Walter the Farting Dog, which the Jonas Brothers will star in.

It was also recently announced that the Farrelly’s will direct a new Three Stooges film.
