Punisher: War Zone Release Date

A lot of people hated the first (I ignore the Dolph Lundgren one) Punisher movie. Sure it’s a little over the top and John Travolta wasn’t the greatest choice to play the villain, but I think Thomas Jane pulled off the role of Frank Castle pretty well. Even though audiences didn’t flock to the first one, Marvel has been trying to get a sequel off the ground for quite sometime. Thomas Jane tried to stick with it as long as he could, but a poor script finally made him jump ship.

The sequel is still on its way with Ray Stevenson(Rome) portraying Castle. Lionsgate has revealed that The Punisher: War Zone will hit theaters on September 18, 2008. It’s really a big question mark as to whether or not it will be any good, especially considering pretty much anyone who was involved with the first one won’t be back.
