The City of Ember Gets a Teaser Trailer

The first teaser trailer for City of Ember has just hit, and it looks very promising. The flick is based on the novel by Jeanne Duprau and tells the story of a city flourished in an amazing world of glittering lights, but a City that is facing a huge problem. The powerful generator that runs the City of Ember is failing … and the great lamps that illuminate the city are starting to flicker. Now, two teenagers in a race against time, must search Ember for clues that will unlock the ancient mystery of the city’s existence, and help the citizens escape.
The film stars Saoirse Ronan, Harry Treadaway, Bill Murray, Tim Robbins, Martin Landau, Mackenzie Crook and Toby Jones. It opens this October.
The trailer looks so good doesn’t it? I’m so excited to see the City Of Ember books be made into a real life action/adventure. I love that Bill Murray is playing the villainous Mayor Cole he always brings characters to life like no one else can. Plus the combination of Tom Hanks/ Walden Media is pretty unbeatable and will make something unbelievably good.
I cannot wait for October 10th!
