The Day the Earth Stood Still Concept Art

A new piece of concept art from The Day the Earth Stood Still is now online, featuring the new and improved Gort. Director Scott Derrickson has mentioned before that Gort won’t be exactly the same as in the original, but if you notice at the end of the teaser trailer the giant robot makes an appearance and definitely resembles the original more than what you see below, so this would appear to be one of the unused designs. The Day the Earth Stood Still opens December 12, 2008.
