Who is Marvel Looking at for Captain America?

Fans of Captain America will finally get to see the iconic character on the bigscreen, as Marvel is currently prepping the new movie for a 2011 release. But who will step in to play Steve Rogers? Well, the folks over at Latino Review say that Marvel is currently looking at two big names.
Well, speaking of CAPTAIN AMERICA, I have myself a trusted source internally over at Marvel and they are now starting to toss names for the role of Steve Rogers.
The name at the top of the list? Leonardo DiCaprio. You know else is also on the list in case they don’t get DiCaprio? Brad Pitt.
The site is quick to point out that this is just a wish list and that no offers have been made and nobody has been officially cast. Marvel is really hitting its stride these days, even if this is just wishful thinking at this point, it’s exciting to see the studio throw names like this around.
Could you see either DiCaprio or Pitt in the role?

NEITHER!!!! what about Mark wahlberg or Matt Damon?

NONE of these “Picks” are good: Damon, Wahlberg, Pitt, and Walberg are horrible. Marvel has made thier first two movies and both have had Perfect Leads and other casting. I’d hate for the 3rd to be a bad pick. They need someone that can fill the shoes but not an obvious choice like these guys. . . . I mean, who would of thought of Edward Norton. . not I, but when i heard it; it made me want to see the movie even more.

I say Marky Mark. Mr Boston himself. Honestly if you want someone to play the role they have to be believable in a war scenario. Who better to play the role than the all American White boy. He may be a little older but Mark can still pass as a young guy. I honestly can’t see any of the other avenger’s taking orders from leo or brad. The most important thing is,, whoever plays Cap has to be the All American Iconic image, know his way around a battlefield, and look as though he can lead a team of super hero’s. I hope we get it right. I love Cap’s character. It hurt me when they killed him off. I think that’s what people have to feel. It has to be a guy that when he’s not in the uniform you wish that he really was.
