What Others Have to Say:

  1. Man, that was awesome!!

Ugh, do you have to buy and track a pizza to be able to enter the Vault? Because it won’t load for me, wtf?

    Grr, I hate Dominos …

  2. holy crap, that was definitely the best trailer yet. I loved how The Joker’s dialogue was so prevalent. Man I can’t wait to see this movie!

  3. I think that this trailer truly captures the essence of what TDK is going to be and what Batman should be. The tone, the mood, The Joker… epic cinema at its finest, yet packaged in such a gritty crime drama at its heart… so. excited.

  4. @Stephanie: I hope not. It’s kinda hard when you’re one of the 5.9 billion that don’t live in the US. :(

  5. These guys need to stop releasing trailers after trailers, it has built sooooooo much hype that i doubt it will be able to live up to the expectations.

  6. I dig it. I was afraid that Heath Ledger was just going to try and be the “Jack Nicholson Joker” but with more dialogue to go off of. It really does seem like he’s made him all his own. Can’t wait to see it!

  7. technically, you’re one of the 5.7 billion v.dogv.

  8. It looks bad…lots of action, no thought. The dark side of batman is not that it all takes place in moody lighting. Tim Burton understood that. These chumps don’t.

Plus, the joker has gone from a genuinely disturbing maniac, to become a kind of Osama Bin Laden figure, blowing up buildings. Batman shouldn’t just be reflecting US politics…that’s superman’s job.

  9. Hmmm, Somehow I got a feeling this one is not going to be all its cracked up to be. I might be wrong but I dont know man.

  10. you are an idiot benchmark.

  11. The early reviews are already in, they had a press showing last week. So far, everyone who has seen it says that is this movie not only the best batman movie, but also one of the best superhero movies of all time, and a few reviews have said one of the best films ever made. Check the reviews on IGN.com and Yahoo. Once i read those reviews it sealed what i had already thought was going to happen.

  12. when the joker claps with the orchestra, i always look forward to that scene, its gonna be GREAT!

    benjamin | Jul 1st, 2008

  13. Batman has no teeth. This limits his ability to bite his toenails.

    Bill Neighbors | Jul 1st, 2008

  14. COME ON…HIT ME!

    Mike | Jul 1st, 2008

  15. Bechmark and the other nay-sayers obviously haven’t read any of the early reviews and they have no idea what they’re talking about. If they had seen the movie yet, which I have (test screening), they would realize how completely wrong they are - not only does this movie exceed expectations, it shatters them. It transcends how people will forever look at comic book movie and it captures the tone and theme of the Batman universe, thoroughly setting Batman within the realm of the real world instead of hamming it up and turning it into a dark parody the way Burton did. This is BY FAR the greatest superhero film ever made.

And on a side note, this Joker blows Nicholsons adaptation so far out of the water It’s like the 1989 movie never existed.

  16. Looks to exceed all expectations with ample subplots to keep the story fresh but what is with the dorky suit. Face it, we’ve seen the best bat-suit in Batman Returns. Kinda looks like a Lego Batman!

  17. Thank god Chris Nolan took over this francise. WOW oh WOW.
One please!!!! People can say that Nolan is just treading on familiar ground but as far as I’m concerned…. the Batman series began with Nolan at the helm and it’ll END with Nolan at the helm.

  18. Just use 000-000-0000 as the phone number in the pizza tracker and you’ll get access to The Dark Knight Vault.

  19. I agree, benchmark is a moron and has obviously never read a Batman comic.

  20. “And on a side note, this Joker blows Nicholsons adaptation so far out of the water It’s like the 1989 movie never existed.

    Adam West | Jul 1st, 2008 ”

Much of what I’ve read and heard makes it more than a side note -It does look like Heath Ledger’s Joker owns the movie as well as the town.

I’m going to see it - for him

    Robyn | Jul 2nd, 2008

  21. WOW - It looks totally awesome!

    Dion | Jul 3rd, 2008

  22. “Looks to exceed all expectations with ample subplots to keep the story fresh but what is with the dorky suit. Face it, we’ve seen the best bat-suit in Batman Returns. Kinda looks like a Lego Batman!”

Who cares about Batman. I’m going to see The Joker.

  23. The 000-000-0000 number doesn’t work anymore apparently. It worked last night but today it’s no good.
